The host of a podcast was dedicating an hour to explaining how he was able to get one million followers on Instagram, and by following his five step process, we could, too.
The core of his method? Inspirational quotes. Post feel-good, word based graphics 10 to 15 times a day (more is better!) and watch your audience explode.
But here’s the thing; he’s done it, so we can’t. Even more importantly, EVERYBODY does it, so we need to be different.
If you’re one of five coffee places in town, posting constant pictures of coffee like the other four isn’t where you win. Posting constant pictures of the people drinking your coffee? Now you’re different (and better).
If we have the boldness to say, “That’s already been done, so I will do something better”, we attract the kind of people who will make our business into something bigger than our business.
Action item: Don’t steal quotes, make your own.s
I am taking a 21 day meditation challenge. It's Oprah and Deepak Chopra's Destiny and Desire mediation. It takes about abundance and stepping into your purpose. Check it out if you can. ✌&💕,
I LOVE this reminder! Why? Because, when it comes to social media, it can be SO easy to focus on everyone else's life who seems to have it better than we do. And before we know it, we miss out on all the posts where people are asking for prayer, help, encouragement and hope.
To really use social media for good, we have to come to it with a listening ear; we have to be able to read between the words. If we only come to social media for mindless scrolling, then before we know it, we will find ourselves comparing and not being content with who we are and what God has given us. We have to be intentional.
Let's choose to #BeDifferent by choosing to open our eyes and see the posts where people are really asking for the things that we can provide: hope, encouragement, prayer and trust in Jesus Christ.s
