"I am saying, Dejah Thoris, that I am yours, body and soul, to serve you, to fight for you, and to die for you. . . " ~John Carter 💗💗💗 On Monday night we all went to the library and my one goal was to find an audiobook to supplement my other reading. I had heard of Playaways but didn't really know what they were until I saw them while browsing audiobooks in the YA section. The cool thing about a Playaway is that you don't have to deal with changing CDs or scratched disks. The biggest draw for me though what the ability to move around the house while listening instead of confining myself to tasks that I can only do in my room. I started "Princess of Mars" while I cleaned up the house a bit before bed on Monday night. I listened to it almost constantly on Tuesday and finished it after my Karate class Tuesday night. It was awesome! I was able to cook, clean, help my children with various tasks, walk to my class and back all while being far away on Mars with John Carter. My hubby has read all of the John Carter of Mars books so I started with this one because I've been wanting to catch up so we can have another shared series to talk about. I really like this book, though it's a little difficult to explain why. I guess it was just a perfect blend of action, Sci-Fi fantasy with a bit of romance sprinkled on top. #audiobookstagram#audiobooks#playaway#playaways#johncarter#princessofmars#bookstagram#listenwhileyouwork#listenwhileyoueat#listenwhileyoucook#listenwhileyouclean#listenwhileyouwalk#listentobooks#readingforfun#readinggoals#booklover#ya#yascififantasy#yascifi#edgarriceburroughs
I woke to discover this by @e.corona_24 ⬆️ and then I wrote this ➡️ I went to the woods and what I discovered was magnificent - a woman split in two. With her one half frolicking in nature playing with pixies deep in the woods and her other maneuvering gracefully through a concrete jungle. Both thrived true.
And in that whole where the two met formed a creature not with less but all.
Everything made sense.
Every moment was blessed.
Every dance became a dance that no one else could have because only she possessed the beauty of two halves.
